Julia Bauscher is an elite school nutrition professional, performing her role with passion and precision. She's a visionary who believes that anything is possible and she instills the same confidence in her staff. Julia elevated Jefferson County Public School nutrition programs with professional handbooks, binders and policy procedures. Her department's polished website features menus, photos, forms, nutrition analysis, frequently asked questions and a staff development section. She used her 12 years in food sales to expand the vendor show at the Kentucky state SNA annual conference. By promoting the show and improving vendor experiences, she helped create one of the largest, most successful state exhibits ever. Last May 77 schools in her district were recognized in the Healthier US School Challenge, a program designed to provide students with strong nutrition environments and high-quality, nutritious food choices. Julia has served on the Kentucky SNA Executive Committee as vice president, working her way up to award-winning president, and in November 2011 she was elected Vice-President of the national SNA, which leads to the role as President in 2013.
